I first met Ronni and Matt in 2011 when they travelled from London to meet me at Blush HQ in Farnham. They arrived bursting with ideas and the very stunning Cain Manor booked as their wedding venue on the 23rd of June 2012.
Ronni went for a romantic vintage feel to complement the bijou venue. We used blowsy full blown peonies, white sweet peas, pink hydrangea and soft vintage roses such as Quicksand, Memory Lane, Old Dutch and Lady Bombastic. Ronni and Matt also decided not to use too much greenery in their arrangements, so we just stuck with a slight touch of pittosporum to break the design up a bit.
We used cut glass bowls, vases and cake stands to give that vintage look again to the tables. All were low arrangements and worked really well on round tables in the main room. Cain Manor also lends itself to taller arrangements such as candelabras or trumpet vases. The space and light in that room is perfect for these type of designs too.
Jam Jars along the fireplace and windowsills filled with small bunches of sweet peas, Lady Bombastic roses and herbs added colour and scent to the reception room of Cain Manor.
Vintage roses and peonies.
Polly Alexandre took the most stunning pictures of our flowers, picking out the beautiful vintage tones of each bloom, especially my favourite rose, Old Dutch, highlighting its lovely light lilac tinted petals which are stunning.
I’m sure you will agree this wedding is super yummy and so are Ronni and Matt! Enjoy!
